Circuit Documentation
Summary
This document provides a detailed overview of a circuit designed to interface an Arduino UNO microcontroller with a PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor (PMS5003). The circuit is intended to monitor air quality by measuring particulate matter (PM2.5) concentrations in the air. The Arduino UNO reads data from the PMS5003 sensor and can process and relay the information as needed.

Wiring Details
PM2.5 Air Quality Sensor and Breadboard Adapter Kit - PMS5003
- VCC: Connected to the 5V pin on the Arduino UNO to provide power.
- GND: Connected to the GND pin on the Arduino UNO to complete the power circuit.
- SET: Not connected in this circuit.
- RX: Connected to the D8 pin on the Arduino UNO for serial communication.
- TX: Connected to the D9 pin on the Arduino UNO for serial communication.
- RST: Not connected in this circuit.
Arduino UNO
- 5V: Provides power to the VCC pin of the PMS5003 sensor.
- GND: Common ground for the circuit.
- D8: Receives data from the TX pin of the PMS5003 sensor.
- D9: Sends data to the RX pin of the PMS5003 sensor.
Documented Code
Arduino UNO Code (sketch.ino)
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
}
void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
}
This code is a template and does not contain any specific functionality. It is expected that the user will add code to the setup() function to initialize the sensor and serial communication. The loop() function will contain the main logic for reading data from the sensor and possibly sending it to a display or over the network.
Additional Notes
- The code provided is a starting point and needs to be completed with the logic for interacting with the PMS5003 sensor.
- The sensor's SET and RST pins are not used in this circuit. If required, they can be connected to digital pins on the Arduino UNO for additional control over the sensor's operation.
- The comments in the code are placeholders for where the user should add their own code.
