Circuit Documentation
Summary of the Circuit
This circuit integrates an Arduino UNO microcontroller with a DS18B20 Temperature Sensor. The DS18B20 sensor is designed to measure temperature and provide a digital output that can be read by the Arduino UNO. The sensor operates on a single-wire bus, allowing for simple connectivity to the microcontroller. The Arduino UNO is programmed to initialize the sensor and continuously read temperature data from it.
Component List
Arduino UNO
- Description: A microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P. It has 14 digital input/output pins, 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
- Purpose: Acts as the central processing unit for the circuit, reading sensor data and executing embedded code.
DS18B20 Temperature Sensor
- Description: A digital temperature sensor that provides 9-bit to 12-bit Celsius temperature measurements.
- Purpose: Measures the temperature and provides the data to the Arduino UNO.
Wiring Details
Arduino UNO
- 5V: Provides power to the DS18B20 Temperature Sensor.
- GND: Common ground with the DS18B20 Temperature Sensor.
- D2: Receives the digital output from the DS18B20 Temperature Sensor.
DS18B20 Temperature Sensor
- VCC: Connected to the 5V output from the Arduino UNO.
- GND: Shares a common ground with the Arduino UNO.
- OUT: Sends the digital temperature reading to digital pin D2 of the Arduino UNO.

Additional Notes
- The code provided for the Arduino UNO is a template with empty
setup()andloop()functions. To fully utilize the DS18B20 Temperature Sensor, additional code is required to initialize the sensor and read data from it. - The
documentation.txtfile is empty and does not contain any additional information or code.
This documentation provides an overview of the circuit's components, their wiring, and the initial code structure for the Arduino UNO. Further development of the embedded code is necessary to achieve the intended functionality of temperature measurement.
