Circuit Documentation
Summary of the Circuit
This circuit consists of an Arduino UNO microcontroller board interfaced with a voice recognition module. The Arduino UNO is responsible for controlling the operation of the circuit and processing the data received from the voice recognition module. The voice recognition module is used to capture voice commands and convert them into electrical signals that can be read by the Arduino UNO.
Component List
Arduino UNO
- Description: A microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P. It has 14 digital input/output pins, 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button.
- Purpose: Acts as the central processing unit of the circuit, running the embedded code and interfacing with the voice recognition module.
Voice Recognition Module
- Description: A module capable of recognizing voice commands and converting them to serial data for the microcontroller to process.
- Purpose: To capture and process voice commands as part of the user interface for the circuit.
Wiring Details
Arduino UNO
- 5V: Provides power to the voice recognition module.
- GND: Common ground with the voice recognition module.
- D3: Connected to the RTX pin of the voice recognition module to receive data.
- D2: Connected to the RDX pin of the voice recognition module to transmit data.
Voice Recognition Module
- VCC: Powered by the 5V output from the Arduino UNO.
- GND: Connected to the ground (GND) on the Arduino UNO to complete the power circuit.
- RDX: Receives data from the D2 pin of the Arduino UNO.
- RTX: Transmits data to the D3 pin of the Arduino UNO.
Documented Code
Arduino UNO Code (sketch.ino)
void setup() {
// put your setup code here, to run once:
}
void loop() {
// put your main code here, to run repeatedly:
}
The provided code is a template with empty setup() and loop() functions. The setup() function is intended to contain initialization code that runs once when the microcontroller is powered on or reset. The loop() function is designed to contain the main logic of the program, which runs repeatedly as long as the microcontroller is powered.
Additional Notes
- The code for the Arduino UNO is currently a skeleton and needs to be populated with the logic for interfacing with the voice recognition module.
- The voice recognition module's specific commands and responses need to be programmed and handled within the Arduino code.
- Proper initialization of serial communication between the Arduino UNO and the voice recognition module is required in the
setup()function. - The
loop()function should include the logic to read the data from the voice recognition module and act upon the received voice commands.
This documentation provides an overview of the circuit, the role of each component, the wiring details, and the initial code structure for the Arduino UNO. Further development of the code is necessary to achieve the desired functionality of the circuit.
